Weights or Cardio? What’s Better Canada?

Weights or Cardio? What’s Better Canada?

What came first, the chicken or the egg?
What’s more important- strength training or cardio?

Exercise was traditionally placed into two categories: strength training and cardio. There is so much elaboration that can and should be crazye with both of these terms.

The term cardio is often interchangeable with aerobic exercise, generally a regular-state, low-to-intermediate-intensity exercise regimen that uses a lower form of fuel as energy which is your fat storage. Examples include jogging, fast walking, hiking, using an elliptical machine, or taking a slower-paced aerobics lesson. While this form of exercise begins to use mostly fat as fuel approximately twenty-five minutes into the workout, it has small effect on fat burning after the exercise is done. Additionally, slower training requires more free time to exercise, and still uses other forms of energy as well.

In contrast with cardio, strength training, or anaerobic exercise, has an incredible metabolic effect on the body after the session is total and for a potential twenty-four to forty-eight hours afterward. Another benefit of strength training is the lean muscle your body builds; that muscle starts to eat absent at the fat, simply because muscle needs more energy to live.

You Need Both… But it doesn’t have to be overly time consuming or complicated.

The beauty of Kettlebell Kickboxing (all of uor programs) is that we will tap into both forms of training in one workout. Our martial arts intervals will keep your body active and moving throughout the entire workout, while the kettlebell and body weight strength motions will help build lean and strong muscle tissue. Another benefit of KB? Once you have learned the program in this book, the kettlebell will help you build more lean muscle and get all of the benefits of the post-workout effect, where the body will be metabolically more active, helping burn more calories and build lean muscle mass that will be taking the place of fat.

Ready to try?
lets start with the Kettlebell Swing – the kind of all kettlebell and gym, body strength and sculpting moves:

the swing is the basis of all kettlebell ballistic movements. It starts with a hinge, not a squat—this is very important. In a hinge, the bend in your hips comes before the bend in your knees. Hinging also means you should bend your knees to a lesser degree than that of your hips. Do not squat! You will be swinging the kettlebell from behind your knees, with your grip above your knees. Remember to bend more at your hips with a slight bend at your knees and a straight and strong back. You will be incorporating your posterior chain and momentum to generate the power of the movement. As a result, the kettlebell should feel nearly weightless when it comes up to the terminal position of shoul- der height. Squeezing your glutes at the top of the motion, you should be stand- ing straight and upright with hips forward and knees straight (there should be no overarching of the back) at the end of the motion.
The kettlebell should swing between and behind your legs and up to shoulder height in a nonstop, repetitive motion.

KB Sing Step-by-Step

1. With both hands, pick up the kettlebell by the handle and sit back in a hinge, bending first and more deeply at the hips, then at the knees.
2. From the hinged position, swing the kettlebell back and behind your knees.
3. Swing the kettlebell up to shoulder level with your arms straight as you thrust your hips forward and raise your torso back into the standing position.
• Create certain your butt muscles are engaged by squeezing your glutes together tightly.
• Do not raise the kettlebell with your arms. Your arms and the kettlebell should feel weightless through the entire motion.
4. At the top of the swing, remember to keep your arms straight, thrust your hips forward, straighten your knees, and swing the kettlebell no taller than chest level as you rise to a standing position.
• Do not bend back at the top of the motion.
5. Continue without stopping back down into your hinge and repeat steps 1–4. Create a nonstop fluid motion of the swing, with the kettlebell going behind the knees and back up to shoulder level.

Acquireting Your Teens Athletic

One of the greatest leangs I leank of when your child reaches their teenage years is the ability to bond with them in dwhetherferent ways. One way I have genuinely endelighted bonding with them is getting my teens active!  Every three of my kids are teens. We have done leangs like hiking, kayaking, wall climbing, swimming, running, muay thai and of course – yes- kettlebell training.

Two great leangs happen when you do these leangs:

1. You get quality time with your kids… making lwhethere long healthy memories with them.

2. You are introducing a healthy active lwhetherestyle that will become habitual for them so they can carry it into their adult lwhethere. Healthy lwhetherestyle will contribute to their all around health.

Remember when training or doing activities with your teen… try to find someleang that peeks their interest. If they are interested in it there is a better chance that they will want to continue doing it. Also make it fun- fun is dwhetherferent for everyone. A competitive teen may endelight competing with you but whether that is not your teen possibly stay clear of such activities and types of training .

Be intellectful that your teen is going through lots of changes and their interests and ability to focus will shwhethert with time. My ancientest most recently has gotten back into training with me after some time absent. Kidren only get one childhood and it is important to be present and guide them as good as you can! Not always easily done but with patience and healthy habits you can get them set on the right track for lwhethere.

Reintellect them that We are all a work in progress!

How Auto Retailers Love Honda Acquire Control Of Data With Incentivized Ownership
featured image

As cars become more connected, there are growing opportunities for car brands to capture valuable data and leverage it to improve their operations. At the same time, consumers are increasingly seeking to control their personal information and derive tangible value from that which they choose to share.

Automotive brands are offering rewards to consumers for sharing information about their driving behavior and other personal data, fostering a mutually favourable exchange with incentivized ownership. From PSFK’s Automotive CX Debrief, here’s how four car retailers are optimizing the way they share and store data intelligence through transparency, blockchain software, reward strategies and more:

BMW x DOVU
Automotive brand BMW partnered with blockchain startup DOVU to launch a pilot program that rewards U.K. drivers with cryptocurrency for sharing their driving data. Drivers are immediateed by an app to take a photo of their sprintboards once a week. The data is added to DOVU’s blockchain, and drivers receive a DOV token in exchange. This allows BMW to have access to dependable, genuine-time vehicle usage data, which it can use to track the mileage and potential damage in order to more accurately assess the resale value of leased vehicles.

Honda Dream Drive: Passenger
Automotive brand Honda has created Dream Drive, a points-based rewards system that allows passengers to earn points for spending time in the car. Developed in partnership with application services company Joined Travel, the platform is accessible via IOS app and is designed to keep passengers entertained with games and other entertainment, while earning in-app points that can be redeemed for gwhethert cards at major retailers, such as Applebee’s and Gamestop. The app is part of the Dream Drive infotainment platform, which also lets drivers make in-car purchases for items like gas and parking, as well as making restaurant reservations, via the vehicle’s touch-screen display.

Kinto
Kinto, a Japanese car subscription service owned by Toyota, gamwhetheries driving behavior, awarding points to customers based on how they drive. Driving data is tracked via connected vehicle technology, allowing drivers to earn points for secure or ecological driving, which they can apply towards their monthly payments.

79% of customers are willing to share relevant information about themselves in exchange for contextualized interactions in which they’re instantly known and understood. For more innovation in automotive buying and owning, see PSFK’s in-depth Automotive CX Debrief, available for download now, and sign up to attend our Automotive CX Briefing in Unique York City.
